People like you blowing this out of proportion just make a wonderful school district who does everything it possibly can for its students look like some hokey 1984 parody. The fact is, Blake Robbins stole a laptop (he took out a loaner overnight) and even though the software was a mistake, Blake signed a contract saying the school had rights to use it. It was HIS CHOICE to take the laptop home.

Re: Checking In From Your Laptop

and this includes using tweetdeck or cotchin to check in to foursquare via a laptop. Unless you a have a smartphone, forget foursquare

Re: Checking In From Your Laptop

Please note: You can not check in with your laptop on foursquare anymore it seems...unless you want your check ins to not count

Re: Plancast – Half of the Ideal Location Social Network?

Really interesting idea. You get alerts when they come near your home or workplace or school.
Example: you are on a trip to Orlando for a conference. Unknown to you, so is your friend, or they live there. With Coloci, you can easily share where you will be, see that your friend is nearby, find a café and plan to meet up. Or, Coloci alerts you when your business acquaintance, who normally works in Chicago, is coming to Boston. Or, catchup with a friend who also happens to be waiting in transit at the airport.

Re: It’s Time to Set Local Business Data Free

They should try making an alliance ensuring better local business reviews. Without proper advertising, they aren't popular and thus nobody calls them when in need. They don't even get settled well, get a Voip telephone and sign some papers when they find themselves in the position of being forced to shut down the business because they aren't able to make a profit. Was there a death in the family or were you visiting the grave site of a relative to place flowers and then get back in the car and drive away? This is how most people in western society experience cemeteries in the US. Never does it cross into the mind of most folks that these plots of ground with stone gardens of monuments can actually be fun and an unusual source of entertainment, especially in the Los Angeles area.

Re: i/o ventures

The surge of entrepreneurialism in this decade has spawned the era of venture capitalism like never before. Venture capital is the key to America's technological lead in the world marketplace. According to The Capital Network, a non-profit economic development group, venture-backed companies have created 80 percent of the new jobs in the United States over the last 20 years. Venture capital-backed investments soared to a record-breaking level of $7.67 billion in the second quarter of 1999, an increase of 104 percent over Q2 of 1998 and 78 percent higher than Q1 of 1999.

Re: Friending & Your Location – Where is the Creepy Line?

The Toxic Avenger became a legendary figure in the world of cult horror movies back in the 80's, but did you know that it inspired both a cartoon series and a toy line, as well? In its larval stages this site was just a privately owned piece of land. W.A Larkins was owner and it was largely due to his efforts that it slowly developed into the bustling city that it is today. That this city was very insignificant during times of its inception can be judged from the fact that it has taken its name from its more illustrious neighbor; Miami. This small community is now considered very fashionable in South Florida.

Re: iPhone SDK – A Curse & A Gift for Location Apps

Are you looking to buy furniture online?
